Safe as Milk: Dean Ricca Smith

The very early morning light is beautiful in the Summer, so I was happy that Dean agreed to get up with the birds for this shoot on Ovingdean beach. Dean's business creates bespoke Shopify themes, and he needed portraits for use on his profile and blog posts on their site. Being a lover of nature and the outdoors like me, he wanted to shoot somewhere with a natural feel, but a slightly graphic edge, so the brutalist concrete of the seafront, combines with the soft warm light and open sky and sea were perfect.
