Wild Feast - Seabuckthorn Cocktails

A few weeks ago I headed out to the beautiful beach at Camber Sands for a shoot with Sarah Watson at Wild Feast who runs foraging and wild food cooking workshops.

I have to admit that in all of my time living on the South Coast, i’ve never made it to this beautiful spot, and I was completely blown away by the space and vast expanses of sand and sky. I've always loved being outside, and so shooting in nature is always a treat and an inspiration.

One of the bespoke options that Sarah offers is a wild cocktail making workshop, where you forage for your ingredients and then make a delicious beverage, so we planned this shoot around the picking, processing and making of one of her delicious creations. The location we chose was the sweeping dunes which sit at the back of the beach and are full of Sea Buckthorn bushes, which at the time of shooting, were ripe and ready to be harvested!

Sarah's passion for foraging is routed in a deep connection to the landscape and nature, and she works in a way that is sustainable and respectful to wildlife and the natural eco systems. It was such a wonderful way to spend the day and I just loved making these images.
