This shoot with painter Victoria Homewood is one of my favourites this year. Everything about it from the light, the textures and the subject just fill me with joy.
Victoria is a local painter and framer who has taken to the countryside more and more over the year to paint 'en plein air' - the practice of open air painting.
I love the process of photographing someone at work - I always find there's there's a moment where the camera is forgotten, and the images that emerge have a calm and authentic quality.
One of the things i've found most inspiring about this year, is how many people have started to integrate the natural world into the way they work. I feel like there is a massive shift happening towards a more sustainable way of working, and it's something I will be focusing on in the year ahead.
